Trump says Iran will negotiate or 'something will happen'

Source: Reuters

MAY 9, 2018 / 12:06 PM / UPDATED AN HOUR AGO

WASHINGTON (REUTERS) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that, after he announced the United States would be withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal and imposing new sanctions, Iran would either negotiate or "something will happen."

It was not immediately clear what actions he was suggesting would take place.

Since then, he’s going to try to solve every hotspot like that. He doesn’t even understand Iran and NK are totally different situations.

4. He has no plan. The media needs to get over

the belief that Cheeto ever has a plan. It is absurd to think so. He reacts and he calculates whatever is good for Trump. Nothing else comes into play or into consideration.
He can’t reason so secondary consequences are never planned for. He spent his whole career bankrupting businesses. Secondary consequences were the other guys problem. You can’t do that in international affairs. The failure to appreciate secondary consequences of acts often doom countries.

10. Rump's becoming weaker,

And his threats are being laughed at by many now around the world as many of them are already aligning around China and Russia , just like when sanctions were imposed on NK and both countries ignored the sanctions, just like they're doing to rump. Rump's little tirade and breaking this agreement will not end well for him, or this country. He's pretty much lost all credibility , and most deem him not to ever be trusted for anything. Let him attack iran, this could result in the worse situation this country has ever been put into, and it could quickly turn into a major cyber attacks on our poorly prepared systems, where we are most venerable now. Maybe rump is doing this to cause that, then bypass Congress with it , and have more power for himself. Wouldn't put anything pass him. This is crazy , and dangerous to us all.

11. Here's what I think will happen: (1) Iran resumes uranium enrichment at already existing facilities

and then upgrades their ability to do so (new/better centrifuges, etc...)

(2) TRUMP bombs said facilities.

(3) Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, isolating the Persian Gulf and effectively closing all of its ports. Iran can do this with shore-based anti ship batteries alone. They don't even need to lay mines, it's just that narrow. Oil prices skyrocket. Economies go into tailspins.

(4) All hell breaks loose in the region militarily.
