Trump's tweets include grammatical errors. And some are on purpose

WASHINGTON The hallmark of President Trumps Twitter feed is that it sounds like him grammatical miscues and all.
But its not always Trump tapping out a Tweet, even when it sounds like his voice. West Wing employees who draft proposed tweets intentionally employ suspect grammar and staccato syntax in order to mimic the presidents style, according to two people familiar with the process.
They overuse the exclamation point! They Capitalize random words for emphasis. Fragments. Loosely connected ideas. All part of a process that is not as spontaneous as Trumps Twitter feed often appears.
Presidential speechwriters have always sought to channel their bosses style and cadence, but Trumps team is blazing new ground with its approach to his favorite means of instant communication. Some staff members even relish the scoldings Trump gets from elites shocked by the Trumpian language they strive to imitate, believing that debates over presidential typos fortify the belief within his base that he has the common touch.

There will be so many books and movies!

What happens when there's a tense international situation and a tweet pops up saying, "I've had it! Nukes will fly if this isn't over today"? How do we know that someone didn't hack Twitter or Trump's cell?

(6,066 posts)What if the words came from someone who hacked Twitter? Twitter is a civilian social-media company. Why would there be any reason to believe they have any kind of super-high-level security? We can only hope the person who does succeed in sending a fake Trump tweet is a practical joker and not someone who wants to set the world on fire.

(1,702 posts)After your gig in the Oral Office writing dumb ass tweets you will be looking for a job.
Employer: So what did you do in the White House?
You: I wrote fake tweets, that had bad grammar and misspelled words.
Employer: You did what?
You: I wrote fake tweets.
Employers: Thank you, we will get back to you if there is a position for you.

Trump is single handedly destroying satire as a political art form. You can't make anything up that is
weirder than the things they do.
