The president likely ruffled a few Republican feathers Tuesday night with his comments at an anti-abortion gala in Washington.

Speaking at the Susan B. Anthony List’s Campaign for Life event, Trump urged anti-abortion advocates to head to the polls in November to maintain the Republican majority in Congress — and quickly veered from his prepared statement to offer his own thoughts.

‘Your vote in 2018 is every bit as important as your vote in 2016. Although I’m not really sure I believe that. I don’t know who the hell wrote that line . . . but it’s still important.’

Despite that lukewarm presidential call to arms, Vice President Mike Pence later called Trump “the most pro-life president in American history,” in a tweet.
