Director of federal prisons resigns after clashes with Kushner, Sessions: report

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 05/24/18 06:13 PM EDT

The director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons reportedly resigned last week amid tensions with senior White House adviser Jared Kushner and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The New York Times reported Thursday that Mark Inch submitted his resignation white complaining that Kushner and Sessions had cut him out of major decisions and flouted “departmental norms.”

Sessions hired Inch last August, praising the retired Army major general’s qualifications for the role.

However, Inch allegedly struggled to navigate his position as Kushner and Sessions each pushed for their preferred reforms to the prison system.

They surely believe they are headed that way...maybe not Sessions, but Kushner

I see no reason why Kushner would be involved otherwise. It would be interesting to see what pissed off Inch badly enough to quit.

.... at federal prisons so he could continue the lifestyle he is accustomed once Kushy gets locked up. Are there 18 hole golf courses at fed penitentiaries ? Golf carts ?

That's about all the credentials he has. I thought he was supposed to have solved the Middle East peace problem by now. He's already on to prisons?

Once again in the "What would happen if a Democrat did it.." Imagine if the rightful President Hillary Clinton hired Chelsea as an 'advisor', and then also hired her husband, with no experience, to such important positions.
