The commander of the U.S. Pacific Command and nominee to be America’s next ambassador to South Korea has warned that the U.S. must stand up against the threat of Chinese hegemony in Asia.
........................................

Harris was speaking as he handed over control of Pacific Command—now re-named the Indo-Pacific Command—and ended his three-year tenure overseeing America’s largest area of operations.

...........................

Chinese-American relations in Asia have been strained by Beijing’s increasingly determined military policy, especially in the South China Sea. China has constructed a network of artificial islands and reefs in the region to enforce territorial claims that overlap with five of its neighbors.

The bases are being steadily militarized with a range of missiles, electronic warfare systems and aircraft, drawing condemnation from the U.S. and neighboring countries. China claims the islands are purely defensive, but their existence has given Beijing effective control of the South China Sea without a shot being fired...................................

Go whine to GOP voters. They are the ones who put you in this position. NOT ALL Americans are responsible for this.

Folks should have thought about this before electing an It with a snotty princess who has skin in the game in China.

It's too late - now eat our peas and shut up.

are welcoming that reality with open arms while fucking their own country. They can never claim patriotism nor freedom.

I'm one that believes that the USA will survive this nightmare tho as long as the traitors allow somewhat legal elections. I still believe that in the messed up Republican party, there are some that will join us inorder to fight for the survival of the USA's democracy and protect the world from WW3. Fingers crossed.

Vote them out!

Ivanka Trump granted seven new trademarks in China

Seven trademarks were officially registered to Ivanka Trump this month with China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce, according to the government's trademark database. They are for items such as kitchenware, furniture, paper products and cosmetics.

The approvals come as President Donald Trump remains engaged in trade negotiations with China on a wide range of issues.

Ethics experts say this raises conflict-of-interest concerns, since Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, both serve as senior advisers in the White House.

"They come at a time when her father and his administration, in which she and her husband work, are making enormously consequential decisions with and about China," said Norm Eisen, the former ethics chief for President Barack Obama and a CNN contributor.

But that's okay - Maga for the maggots. That's that matters.

The military doesn't even have the right tools because of Congress wanting to keep spending on things we don't need...to benefit a district or state of course. So they are over extended. Plus a huge waste of resources in wars we had no business in being in the first place.

Then you have the Congress idiots who only seem to be interested in enriching themselves, because, hey, the US is the strongest Empire in the world right now. Over military extension and resource mismanagement never brought down nations like the Roman Empire, Soviet Union, etc.

Trump's Foreign Policy is to retreat from the world stage and as compensation for doing so, his family gets paid.

He did this with Russia already, a few times.

He did this with China already, a few times also.

He's retreating from NK.

He's retreating from Syria.

He's fled any and all cooperation with the EU.

Trump is creating a power vacuum that Russia and China have been dreaming about for decades.

And Republicans said Obama was soft on Putin. Trump is Putin's bitch.

China has been building coalitions and trade agreements with what trump calls shithole countries - some of which have vital resources that will be cut off from the US.
But really, all they have to do is quit sending TV's and other electronics to the US = disabled population.

Isn’t that why we stepped away from TPP? Isn’t the whole point to leave Asia alone? You can’t have it both ways.
