No Changes Planned For Children Already Separated Under Trump Policy, HHS Spokesperson Says
Source: Buzzfeed
As President Donald Trump traveled to a campaign rally in Duluth, Minnesota, the federal agencies responsible for implementing the executive order he signed Wednesday to address the family separation crisis at the border were left figuring out what's next.
Although the executive order signing followed days of national outcry over the policy, it was not immediately clear what effect the order would have on new migrant families crossing the border and a federal official said no changes are planned for those families already separated.
On the question of what happens to the more than 2,000 children already separated from their parent or parents over the past two months, the initial answer from the Department of Health and Human Services, which is responsible for "unaccompanied" minors, was that nothing would change.

What was the fucking point of this fucking order? These children will continue to be psychologically tortured and severely scarred for life.

(13,540 posts)Typical GOP. They break it (for their own selfish purposes), the Democratic Party fixes it.
And the vicious circle continues, because bone-heads keep believing lying rich men and racists.

Then the girls appear to have left not terribly long after arriving.
The red-eye flight from Arizona to Miami that was shared on Facebook (https://upload.democraticunderground.com/100210747315) had at least one girl on it, although I infer there probably were a fair number, since the author talked about children rather than mostly boys or all girls. (Haven't heard if there's been any verification of that post or not.)
Today, in a Twitter discussion, someone commented that New York City and Miami are major places where children being trafficked internationally. While I had not heard that before, that seems like logical places for that to occur.
