SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS BOOTED FROM RESTAURANT ... On Moral Grounds

Source: TMZ

A restaurant owner in Lexington, Virginia kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her party out of his restaurant ... on moral grounds.

The waiter at The Red Hen said, "I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her out along with 7 of her other family members."
Others say the owner didn't want Huckabee Sanders in the restaurant out of "moral conviction."

This is the second time this week someone from the Trump Administration was drummed out of a restaurant. Earlier this week Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was booted from a Mexican restaurant near The White House.

The Red Hen's Yelp pages has blown up with glowing and damning reviews ... along political lines, of course.

I can still remember from my childhood seeing segregated bathrooms and restaurants, it didn't make a bit of sense to me. It feels like we're receding back to those days, with the difference being that people will be excluded based on their political affiliation instead of their race. Of course Spanky and his lying staff and followers are 100% to blame for this, yet I still wish we could all be civil to each other and have honest discussions about our differences.

Segregated bathrooms, restaurants, waiting rooms, seats on the bus, schools, etc., existed to deny American citizens their rights under the law. Those Americans (African-Americans) had done nothing to deserve or earn that treatment.

It's wrong to exclude people on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability. Assholes, on the other hand, are not a protected class, nor should they be. It would be better if real discussion were possible, but SHS is enabling Trump's con against the American people. Her press gatherings are lie-fests. She HAS earned the desire of others to exclude her from their company.

Yes, it is emotionally satisfying to see these actions taken by citizens in the world. It also displays what trump has done to us.

I spontaneously had an aversion reaction to republicans at a parade recently. They had gone through the parade (as a group) promoting their political candidate and looked for someone to take a picture of them together. I asked if they were republican, a couple of them nodded yes. I acted like a person seeing something repulsive. I backed up, still facing them and got away fast. They all looked stunned by my repulsion.

...as a crime against current children and all future generations.

I think it's pretty clear what the Repukes think about children, but it's less clear among some smug people on the left who don't give a shit about Chinese children living near cadmium mines so Westerners who don't open science books can fantasize that their solar cells would save the world.

Guess what?

The didn't save the world. They sucked a trillion dollars out of the world economy in the last ten years and don't produce 2 of the 578 exajoules of energy the world has been consuming each year. And you know who's gonna pay for this ignorant fantasy?

The people who are children.

I've been quite clear that I can support my case with science, since unlike the Repukes, I understand climate, what works and isn't working.

One of the essential scientists warning the world about climate change, who wrote a book dedicated to his grandchildren called Storms of My Grandchildren also wrote a widely read scientific paper on the internet showing definitively and irrefutably that nuclear power saves lives.

Prevented Mortality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Historical and Projected Nuclear Power (Pushker A. Kharecha* and James E. Hansen Environ. Sci. Technol., 2013, 47 (9), pp 4889–4895)

I certainly agree with Doctor Hansen, and could easily produce many more references in support of his argument.

Now, if there are Republicans who support nuclear power, this does not mean anything about nuclear power, any more if there are Republicans who support farms means farms are criminal, but it's not like nuclear opponents are all that good at thinking, particularly when it comes to the use of logical fallacies.

Now, it is true that there are many stupid and ignorant people in the Republican party, but this does not imply that the only stupid and ignorant people are in the Republican party.

Regrettably, there are many on our side, and in my scientific opinion, those who so qualify are destroying the future.

Best regards. Have a nice Saturday evening.

102. Sorry. I'm well known as a hot head on this issue.

I recognize it as a character flaw, but as an old man, I'm not all that good at addressing them.

I've heard a lot of "guilt by association" arguments here from people I didn't like.

Rather stupidly I engaged them too much, until I got smart enough to use the "ignore" button here, a wonderful tool that I advise other hotheads like myself to use. It at least will serve to reduce the probability of a stroke.

I couldn't remember you - sorry about that too - but now that you mention the Diablo Canyon thing, I do.

Please accept my apology.

And from the size of her father, one can guess how overweight the rest of the family is. The restaurant is doing them a favor.

The only one in the family who looks fit.
They look like an American flag.
I actually like her as a person and feel sorry that she got trapped in to working for this admin. She seems eager to get out.

The little restaurant itself is quite impressive. It's a local gourmet farm-to-table eatery, not cheap but not completely unaffordable for a special occasion.

Red Hen owner reveals she allowed employees to vote on booting Huckabee Sanders out of restaurant — and Sarah lost
Bob Brigham BOB BRIGHAM
23 JUN 2018 AT 15:54 ET

The owner of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia explained why she ejected White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders from the establishment on Friday evening.

Speaking with The Washington Post, owner Stephanie Wilkinson acknowledged that she may have threatened the economic health of her small business with her principled stand, but said she would do it again.

“I’m not a huge fan of confrontation,” Wilkinson said. “I have a business, and I want the business to thrive. This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.”

Wilkinson recounted how she was at home when she got a call informing her that Sanders was dining at the Red Hen, under a reservation made in her husband’s name. She raced to the business to investigate.

called her to tell her who was in her restaurant. She came right over and asked them to vote whether SHS should be asked to leave or not.

I commend their choice.. why should sanders get to spew hateful LIES everyday and not be held accountable Somewhere Anywhere. We saw what the WHPC did to Michelle Wolfe when she called her on her lies.

I don't think I've ever spotted any Administration turds in a restaurant around here (though it is very possible I could, if I spent more time in restaurants). I would be more than happy to ask the owner to eject them if I do spot them. Now that Trump's SCROTUS has legalized discrimination on religious grounds, this is perfectly legal.
