HELENA, Mont. (AP) A man who registered as a Green Party candidate for Montanas U.S. Senate race was on the state Republican Partys payroll and heads a newly formed anti-tax group, according to a review of election documents.
Timothy Adams filed as a challenger Monday against Democratic Sen. Jon Tester, who faces a tough re-election campaign, in a race where a Green Party candidate could siphon votes from the Democrat.
The Green Party qualified as a political party in Montana on Monday, which was also the states deadline for candidates to file for office. Green Party officials blasted an email that morning to solicit candidates who could register by the days end.

5. I often wonder where the money came from for Nader and that other jerk Stein...
I often suspect that the money was somehow laundered to look like it was from certain individuals, but in reality it came from secret Republican sources. These sources worked with fake organizations and people to look like they were real, but the reality it was from very rich Republicans who set up the scheme in the first place....If it was done carefully with a whole lot of effort, who would really know where the money came from?
...If it were moved around and Stein lost, as did Nader..who would do the research to check out the real sources of the money? Stein and

(37,648 posts)about the Republican taking the lead. There was much discussion there about WHY. One poster tried to suggest that it's becuase the Green Party is against the 2-party dictatorship. I pointed out that that's not true because (1) A dictatorship has ONE dictator, not two; and (2) if that org. was against the 2-party monopoly, it wouldn't be HAPPY that the Repubican was winning.
I wonder if Susan Sarandon knew that about Stein, when she pushed her as a candidate? That Stein had Russian connections and was funded by the GOP?

(33,643 posts)Then 'Greens' have to 'scramble to find' a candidate, so that way if Timothy Adams get's 'outed' as a Repuke in Greens clothing, the party can claim 'but we had no TIME, we couldn't VET, had to do it that day! We didn't KNOW Adams was a GOP Mole! OOPS! Oh well, too late now, he's on the ballot, sry!'
BTW, do we know Adams was ACCEPTED as the Greens candidate, or just that he applied?

(11,949 posts)He should move up to the presidential level and then get in on the Russian gravy train. Complete with a dinner with Putin.
I am still astounded that in 2016 there were folks on DU defending Stein have that meal with Flynn and Putin. That wont be happening again. Greens are now know as ratbastard traitors.

(46,228 posts)Adams filed to run in the Green Party primary, which he lost by a resounding 60-40 margin. It then turns out that the Green Party candidate who won didn't qualify to be on the ballot. So there will be no Green Party candidate on the ballot in November.
