Therefore... global warming has to be a concern.

(12,530 posts)There's no clear explanation for what "the cloud" is. For some, it means nothing more than "remote storage". For others, it means highly redundant, with geographical separation and anycast/vmotion/other "move-the-failed-server-to-somewhere-else" strategies.
Granted, the cloud relation to weather seems kind of ridiculous, but I'm not at all surprised that people are confused by what actually does and does not constitute "the cloud".

(152 posts)And a majority of those who do, just for very basic things like email and facebook. The metaphor "cloud" wouldn't be that intuitive or obvious.
Especially considering the satellite internet connections that are actually affected by weather.
