4. Murkowski is in a corner. Caught between the Senate Republicans and her state's welfare.

What will she do? We'll find out. I think she'll vote to confirm.

American vote. They oppose Navanaugh and are urging her to vote NO on him. She is more of a bind than just the abortion and sexual abuse issues

7. She replaced her father in the Senate. I don't think any one group is responsible for that.

It was her father's reputation and her name that dood it for her.

Of course, the Natives in Alaska have some political weight, more so than in the lower states.

But if her vote alone would keep Kavanaugh from being confirmed, she wouldn't be able to function in the Senate any longer. She'd be kicked off committees, and other Repubs wouldn't work with her, which would make her powerless to represent her state's intrests. She'd be voted out or would have to resign. That's how important her no vote would be. If there were several NO votes, though, so that her vote didn't matter, she might vote not to confirm. Because the Repubs wouldn't hold it against her.
