Republicans accelerate efforts to overhaul Endangered Species Act

Republicans are moving full speed ahead with their goal of overhauling the Endangered Species Act (ESA), with legislation that would mark the biggest changes to the landmark law in decades.
GOP lawmakers on a key House committee rammed through several bills this past week that would each lower or remove protections for animals and plants listed as endangered or threatened.
Republicans argue the changes are much needed improvements to the decades-old law. Environmentalists and some Democrats counter that the GOP proposals are an assault on the landmark statute.
The House Natural Resources Committee advanced five ESA-related bills that aim to strip all protections for Gray Wolves in the contiguous United States; give priority to the science submitted by state and local governments over the federal government’s when determining whether a species needs protection; and let the administration more easily de-prioritize certain petitions for protection.
Taken as a whole, the bills represent the most significant effort to rewrite the ESA in decades.

I try not to partake in the luxury of hate. But so help me God, to stand by and watch while this corrupt administration destroys our future leaves me raging. How dare they play god with OUR wildlife, OUR fauna, OUR public lands as though they are the sole owner of our natural resources. This is beyond disgusting. Add to this the inhumane immigration policies, the sham of a Supreme Court nominee, the passing of another huge tax cut by the house when all attention is focused on the sham, North Korea debacle, the destruction of American credibility on the international stage, an orange sh*t gibbon as our president, the most corrupt administration in recent history, the trampling of civil rights, the destruction of our education system, the destruction of our family farms and small manufacturing companies, ... need I go on. The country I have worked hard to support and improve is disappearing at a rate faster than the speed of light. While we are focusing on the rapid fire dismantling of our laws and policies, Stephen Miller et al, are working like busy little beavers without any oversight by anyone. God help this country because the people in power are not. Our younger generation seems removed from what is happening. The young people in my family seem totally detached from the destruction that is happening. They just don't take time to become involved, even at the lowest level. Democrats are waking up and fighting back. I just hope that we haven't waited too long to stop the destruction. ***My apologies but I had to get this out.
Fuck this administration.
