Mom stops potential school shooting after reporting racist message to police

Source: The Hill

A New Jersey mother who spoke up about a disturbing message she received on Facebook reportedly helped stop a potential school shooting from hundreds of miles away.

Koeberle Bull told WKYT in Anderson county, Ky., that she called the police last week after she received racist message from a Facebook user on Wednesday morning.

...snip...

After the call, Kentucky State Police told the station they had pulled into Jarrell’s street just as he was exiting his driveway with over 200 rounds of ammunition and a plan of attack targeting two school districts.

If he has them hidden somewhere, either someone else will find them or he'll just access them once he's released from jail.

If he had ammunition and "a plan of attack targeting two school districts," he must have had a gun or two. I doubt he was planning to throw cartridges at people.

Man who made threat against Shelby, Anderson schools appears in court
Updated: 7:10 PM EDT Oct 22, 2018
Chris Chandler

The Lawrenceburg man arrested for making threats against multiple Kentucky schools has plead not guilty.

Dylan Jarrell, 20, appeared on video in an Anderson County courtroom from the Shelby County Detention Center on Monday.

Jarrell was arrested Thursday after Kentucky State Police received a tip that he was planning an attack on schools in both counties.

A trooper caught Jarrell pulling out of his driveway with a firearm, Kevlar vest, 200 rounds of ammo and a detailed plan of the attack.

When a threatening Facebook message popped up on Oct. 17, Koeberle Bull's "mama bear" instincts kicked in.

What could a man from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, want with a 40-year-old mother of three from rural New Jersey? The message, sent from more than 700 miles away, was shocking.

Dylan Jarrell, a 21-year-old she had never met and wasn't Facebook friends with, started insulting her children, who are biracial, and calling them offensive racial slurs. Worst of all, he wished that they were dead.

She did some Facebook sleuthing and called police in Lawrenceburg. That tip led authorities to Jarrell a day later, when they found he had a gun, 200 rounds of ammunition, a bullet-proof vest and a detailed plan to attack a school. He lives yards away from Anderson County High School.
