Reports Of Jetway Collapse At BWI Airport

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD. (WJZ) — A jetway has reportedly collapsed at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

A jetway is the hallway structure leading up to the plane when passengers board the plane.

Multiple EMS units have been requested. BWI officials confirmed six people have been taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

That passengers board planes from, not so much a static, concrete structure that planes taxi over, which is kinda what I thought when I clicked in. Hydrolics failed or something I'm sure.

Not sure if it belongs to the airline or the airport.
Somebody did not want to spend any money on maintenance.

and exiting passengers. Hopefully no serious injuries. I would think it would be bad but not life threatening type of injuries I hope...

Used to be the airline but that all changed when airlines got to declare bankruptcy and end Union contracts...
