.
President Donald Trump sought to deflect blame for the deaths of two Guatemalan children in U.S. custody by claiming they were “very sick” when they arrived, even though immigration authorities have said both children passed initial health checks.

The mother of the boy who died Christmas Eve told The Associated Press on Saturday that her son was healthy when he left with his father on their journey hoping to migrate to the U.S.

Meanwhile, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen visited Border Patrol agents and medical officials at the southern border amid promises of more thorough health screenings for migrant children.

He (Trump) also said that both children “were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol.”

It is axiomatic that - if what Trump is saying is true (that the kids were sick upon arrival) - then degree of fault is increased 10 fold for lack of medical attention.

Q-Ms. Nielsen when did you know about the health of the children.
A-when the local agent in charge notified me the child was seriously ill.

Q-Ms. Nielsen what did you do.
A-I notified my boss pResident Trump and received a "yea, so what" answer.

Ms. Nielsen you can step down.

pResident Trump please take the stand [swear in]
Q-Mr. Trump when did you know about the health of the children.
A-I don't know anything about that.
Q-Mr. Trump you just heard Ms. Nielsen state she notified you.
A-Uh, ok she may have mumbled something about it.
Q-So, Mr. Trump you did what to address the issue.
A-I didn't do anything, and figured she would follow and do nothing.
Q-So, Mr. Trump you DID NOTHING !
