Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says "no question" Trump is a racist in 60 Minutes interview

Source: CBS News

In a 60 Minutes interview that touched on a number of subjects, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said there's "no question" President Trump is racist. The comment came after correspondent Anderson Cooper asked Ocasio-Cortez, "Do you believe President Trump is a racist?"

"Yeah. Yeah. No question," Ocasio-Cortez replied. The rookie congresswoman cited the president's rhetoric as proof.

"When you look at the words that he uses, which are historic dog whistles of white supremacy," Ocasio-Cortez said. "When you look at how he reacted to the Charlottesville incident, where neo-Nazis murdered a woman, versus how he manufactures crises like immigrants seeking legal refuge on our borders, it's night and day."

"The president certainly didn't invent racism," Ocasio-Cortez said, "But he's certainly given a voice to it and expanded it and created a platform for those things."

Not saying what's really in their minds since they didn't want to offend so many constituencies.

Say it like it is and then everyone can deal with the hurt feelings and healing.

Trump is a dumb-ass who's being played by some masters and is destroying this country and probably democracy around the world. Let's keep telling it like we see it.

In '02 I worked on the campaigns of 5 city council members.
At the same time. First campaign, but small town.
That time I had to rely on a cheat sheet I put together to keep track of it all.
4 out of my five won, replacing 4 established council members.
Loved the work.

This is mostly like play for me while I'm waiting for my new driving position

I have an uneasy feeling that she's headed for a collision. I hope I'm wrong. But the whole nation is fixated on this rep. and giving her an unusual amount of attention. She's inexperienced as a politician. This would be heady for even an experienced politician. I hope she can handle it. It reminds me of a rock star who is newly famous. Sometimes they run off the rails.

Having said that, she seems to say the right things much of the time and handles herself well and with so much confidence. So maybe she's a natural.

Pelosi questions Trump's manhood, compares him to skunk after border wall meeting

"It's like a manhood thing for him," Pelosi told Democratic members at a closed meeting of the Steering and Policy Committee on Capitol Hill, according to an aide in the room. "As if manhood could ever be associated with him. This wall thing."

Pelosi, in a feisty mood after the heated exchange with the President, also compared the President to a skunk.
"I was trying to be the mom," the California Democrat said, according to the aide. "I can't explain it to you. It was so wild. It goes to show you: You get into a tickle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you."
