13 States File Lawsuit Over Trump's 'National Emergency'
Source: Political Wire
California Attorney General Xavier Becerra told NBC News that California and a dozen other states are filing a lawsuit challenging President Trumps national emergency declaration.
Said Becerra: The president admitted that theres not a basis for the declaration, he admitted theres no crisis at the border, hes now trying to rob funds that were allocated by Congress legally to the various states and people of our states.
He added: The separation of powers is being violated, were going to go out there and make sure that Donald Trump cannot steal money from the states and people who need them, since we paid the taxpayer dollars to Washington, D.C. to get those services.

A coalition of 16 states went to federal court on Monday, seeking a preliminary injunction to thwart President Trumps attempt to circumvent Congress and shuffle federal money to pay for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, a court that has ruled against other Trump policies in the past.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
