Alan Dershowitz was accused in federal appeals court of involvement in billionaire Jeffrey Epstein's alleged sex trafficking ring, The Daily Beast reported Wednesday evening. The allegations were made before the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Wednesday.

The case is over a lawsuit filed by the Miami Herald and thirty other media organizations to unseal documents in a lawsuit by Virginia Roberts Giuffre.

Giuffre's attorney, Paul Cassell, said witness testimony shows Dershowitz's involvement in the alleged trafficking. "When all the records come out it will show that Epstein and [Epstein's alleged madam Ghislaine] Maxwell were trafficking girls to the benefit of his friends, including Mr. Dershowitz," Cassell said.

Epstein is also reportedly friends with President Donald Trump, who Dershowitz frequently defends on television.

The Miami Herald has spent great amounts time, money and effort to keep this case in the spotlight on-and-off for many years. If you have access, the Herald is the best source of catch-up reading.

Some very rich people want this case and related investigations squashed and never seen in daylight. They likely paid to keep the original Epstein case stonewalled for over 10-years, and appear to have infiltrated the prosecutor's office to keep things hid. These are similar to tactics that Trump used for decades to fight law suits against him, but on a larger scale.

For me, it's not just the heinous nature of this crime that's horrible. It's also that the wealthy in America and around the globe can buy their way out of serving a day in jail even in the worst of cases, while a poor man can have his life ruined for stealing a loaf of bread for his starving kids.
