'You're gonna die': Trump supporter arrested over deranged threats to prominent Democrats

A South Florida supporter of President Donald Trump has been arrested for allegedly threatening to murder four prominent, top Democratic lawmakers, after he reportedly left vile, profane, threatening, racist, and homophobic voicemails for three of them. He also touted his support for President Trump in several of his voicemails. he was charged with making threatening communications.

John Kless, 49, called Representatives Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), threatening them and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), according to the Miami New Times, which cited a federal indictment and court records.


“In all three messages, Kless referenced his hatred for Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar — repeatedly calling her a ‘towel head’ and a member of the Taliban,” the New Times reports.

The Miami Herald adds that Kless “allegedly said he’d like to throw Omar off the Empire State building.”

“It was your Taliban bitch, the one who opened up her fucking towel head mouth about how ‘some people did it,'” Kless allegedly said in his message to Rep. Tlaib, according to the New Times. “You know what? She’s lucky she’s just getting death threats, bitch. So are you. Alright? You’re lucky they’re just threats. Motherfucker. Cause the day when the bell tolls, whore, and this country comes to a war, there will be no more threats. Your life will be on the fucking line.”.........................................

Federal authorities have arrested a South Florida man and accused him of leaving menacing, racist and homophobic messages on the office voicemails of several Democratic members of Congress, two of whom are running for president.

John Kless, 49, has been charged with making threatening communications after U.S. Capitol Police say he called up the Washington offices of U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and U.S. Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Eric Swalwell Tuesday and unleashed foul, profanity-laced rants peppered with death threats. Police say they’d also recently investigated Kless for threatening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Kless, of Tamarac, was arrested Friday and made his initial appearance in court, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. He was released on bond with a GPS monitor and a requirement that he stay away from guns and the people he

According to an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Kless called Swalwell’s office Tuesday and warned that taking guns from Americans would be his “death bed.” Swalwell, a California congressman who frequently appears on cable news, is running for president on a gun-safety platform and recently held a guns town hall in Broward County attended by some parents of students slain last year in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, located about six miles from Kless’ apartment.

A readout of the message Kless allegedly left for Booker, a black senator from New Jersey, included racial slurs and a defense of the white supremacist found guilty of murder after he drove his car into a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville in 2017. In his message to Tlaib, police say Kless referred to the Muslim congresswoman from Michigan as a member of the Taliban.

Police say they were highly alarmed due to the fact that Tlaib is scheduled to visit Florida this weekend.........................................................

6. Tamarac Man John Kless Accused Of Threatening Members Of Congress

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Tamarac man accused of threatening three Washington lawmakers was arrested and appeared in federal court Friday.

John Kless, 49, was given a $25,000 bond and fitted with an ankle monitor.

According to Federal investigators, Kless left threatening voicemails for three Democrats: Congressman Eric Swallwell of California, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and US Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey.

Prosecutors say the message to Swallwell said, “The day you come after our guns, (expletive), is the day you’ll be dead. Along with everybody in the (expletive) government, (expletive). You want war (expletive) Keep talking like that.”

Man arrested after allegedly making racist death threats against Omar, Tlaib and Booker, officials say

TAMARAC — A Florida man was arrested and charged Friday with allegedly making a series of threatening phone calls to Democratic officials, in which he ranted in explicitly racist terms about Muslims, black people and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.

John Kless, 49, of the Fort Lauderdale area, was charged with making an interstate threat, a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.

Marlene Fernandez-Karavetsos, a spokeswoman for Fajardo Orshan, the U.S. Attorney for Southern Florida, said Kless was expected to be released on a $25,000 bond on Friday afternoon. She said that some weapons owned by him had been seized but declined to give specifics.

“You’re gonna die,” Kless continued, according to the complaint. “You’ll be your death bed...along with all the rest of you Democrats.”

Kless also allegedly criticized Swalwell's stance on gun control. Kless reportedly said if Swalwell enacted gun-safety laws, someone would kill the lawmaker. He also called Swalwell a communist and, oddly, the N-word. (Swalwell is white.)
