(CNN)The Oglala Sioux tribe in South Dakota has told the state's governor that she's no longer welcome to access the Pine Ridge Reservation, one of the largest in the country, because she signed bills that allegedly target Keystone XL pipeline protesters.

The tribe's president, Julian Bear Runner, informed Gov. Kristi Noem of the council's unanimous decision in an open letter.

"I am hereby notifying you that you are not welcome to visit our homelands, the Pine Ridge Reservation, until you rescind your support for SB 189 and SB 190 and affirm to your state and this country that First Amendment rights to free, political speech are among the truths you hold to be self-evident," he said in the letter.

He added that if Noem did not honor the directive, "we will have no choice but to banish you."

Tribal banishment is a permanent ban from the reservation, and violations are punishable by law with fines or even jail time...............................

Kristi Noem and her followers have done more to harm the Native Community in South Dakota than all hate filled groups combined.

To fully understand my comments,do go to South Dakota and look listen and learn of what I speak.

So we have to keep in touch with the local County Clerk as to Taxes or any other issues going on. When one mention's anything Native related,be prepared for a full on hate filled diatribe coming your way, unless you agree with the hate spewing person on the other end of the conversation.

Farmers here used to be smarter than this. Can't explain the craziness going on here now! PLAIN STUPID! I'm really concerned about the area in SD. where they are doing a dinosaur dig. Isn't the pipeline going through that area?

Pipeline was to follow 285 down to Chadran Nebraska. And then hook up with Wyoming and on to the Refineries in Denver.

Six years ago,the pumping Stations were being laid out and material on the ground as well as Pipe being Yarded in several areas along 285. At that time,BNSF had Miles of Pipe parked on abandoned Coal Spurs in Montana as well as Saskatchewan unused Spurs.

Do know some of those Railcars were unloaded in Tea South Dakota five years ago and used for a line paralleling I-29 and US 81.

kfyr am 550 used to be a beacon of sorts for me as a kid. I'd listen late into the night as a north dakota kid growing up in south dakota. now kfyr is just another example of hate radio with limbaugh vomiting forth his racist horsesh*t along with michael savage spewing hate. they had an afternoon opinion show called 'whats on your mind' i think and during the nodapl action, you should have heard the racist filth from callers encouraged by the host, some local racist. bismarck north dakota's trump azzkissing mayor was elected by demonizing the Standing Rock Water Protectors and using the race card and dog whistles. I've said it before and I say it loud now. bismarck north dakota's mayor is a racist pig and i'm waiting for the opportunity to say this to his damned pasty face when i run into him...

And yes the AM format's for your Radio Stations have changed from Local information and easy listening music to 24/7 hate radio. Had a Business Contact from Mandan tell me about how the Natives were being used as a ugly political hate symbol.

The Native hatred worked well for the South Dakota Republican Party in wiping out the Dems in the state legislature years ago. Amazing how a Politician uses a People symbol as a club in order to garner favor with a mostly white electorate.

Happened to over hear two local Ladies yammering about how the Natives on the Pine Ridge living off their Tax Dollars via their monthly Stipements they receive from their Tribes. This happened in Watertown, for crying out loud, that is almost three hundred miles from them and I believe those are profits from their Casino operation on the Nebraska Border. Anyway they heard this B.S. on their local Radio Station. And it was criminal how they get all those free benefits from the State Cause they are Indian. Yah right. You can not fix the Stupid.

It got even worse,my Trumper Brother join their Conversation since he new one of the ladies, boy, talk about a good afternoon totally wrecked. Sorry to say,you can not choose your relatives or siblings, but you wonder what the heck went wrong back in the day.

and all nine of the state's tribes was strong WAAAAY before Trump. All Trump has done is bring it out more in the open. It's practically endemic to the state, and in its DNA; as one liberal white gal I know put it, it's "spoon-fed" into white residents from the beginning. Rapid City, in the Black Hills, is like the pre-civil-rights South, only with natives. I personally witnessed or heard it every single day while living there. I now live on one of the reservations in the western side of the state, a few hours from the Black Hills, and even on a reservation my white privilege is advantageous, unfortunately.

TransCanada is now building "man camps" not far from where we live, on a more remote section of the reservation, and we are all gearing up for another, even more important, fight against them. Our new goddamned theocratic fascist bitch of a governor made clear her disdain and contempt for the state's tribes and all complex tribal issues (which are most of them, frankly) during her congressional tenure, which she left to run for governor this past election. She's even worse as governor. She pushed through these two ridiculous anti-"riot-boosting" bills (nice Orwellian use of language!) the last few weeks of the legislative session and strong-armed their passages, although, given our current legislature, she really didnt have to push too hard. The real insult, as the Pine Ridge chairman's letter makes clear, was that she consulted TransCanada before introducing the bills, but she never bothered to consult with the tribes ONCE. And she's shocked that they're upset?

Also, TransCanada wants to use the water from the Cheyenne River (the reservation I'm on) and informed the state's Water Board that they want to specifically exclude the tribes and any consideration of tribal treaties, water rights within treaties, etc., etc. Which, to any normal person, would be simply outrageous, of course. But those that make up the water board and most of state government, and a good portion of the white population, are not "normal" people in their thinking. Their knee-jerk irrational hatred of and contempt for tribes and anything to do with them, coupled with their worshipful idolization of any and all private industry and private business profits, will almost ensure that they will comply with any such demands (let's be clear, that's what it is from TransCanada) and that they will come down even harder on us pipeline protestors this time. But we will be ready for them and we will NOT back down.

So what constitutes "riot boosting"? A provocative sign? A loud slogan chant? It seems like this bill is meant to eliminate ANY and ALL leaders or organizers of the protest. A leaderless organization is much easier to deal with.
