SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Latest about a Utah man accused of killing a city code enforcement officer (all times local):

2 p.m.

A Utah man who pleaded guilty to killing a city code enforcement officer and setting her body on fire last year has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Kevin Wayne Billings didn't speak during a hearing Monday in Salt Lake City. But attorney Nick Falcone said his 65-year-old client feels remorse.

. . .

Authorities say Billings fatally shot Robinson in August 2018 after what he considered years of harassment over laws requiring him to clean up trash outside his home.

there are no words to describe this animal... yet he attempts to plead his remorse without regard or thought of Ms. Robinson's family.

of decades of demonizing government and government workers. Of course, the forces behind this strain of thought know exactly what they are doing stirring up hatred against people who work to make this a better country, but consider those killed just acceptable collateral damage worth it for deregulation and tax cuts.

of Hoarders, and usually the ones with a hoard on the outside really, really don't understand why they can't have all that trash and garbage and stuff, think the neighbors have no right to complain.

A lot of times the ones with an inside hoard that has compromised the physical integrity of the home likewise don't fully understand why there's much of a problem.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The children of a municipal enforcement officer shot and set afire by a man with a history of code violations recounted through tears and clenched fists Monday what their mother would have wanted them to say as he was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

"I wish that monster would have just shot himself in the head and spared the world heartache," said Jessica Knorr, the eldest daughter of Jill Robinson.

Kevin Wayne Billings, 65, was stoic as a parade of relatives and co-workers spoke about the void Robinson's death left in their lives. He pleaded in February to murder, arson and cruelty to animals.

"I wish he gave my mom a fighting chance, because she's strong," Knorr said.

This crazy TURD will be in hell for his crime. I pray the family finds some form of justice for their loss. There was a failure of the city or county to protect their worker from harm. This TURD was crazy to begin with and anyone can see the evil in the turds eyes......
