Two top GOP lawmakers are not pleased that their colleagues on the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee havent let the Russia probe die as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell instructed earlier this week.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) scolded the committee, which is led by Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), for its decision to subpoena Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday.
Its time to move on, he said in a tweet, just after news broke that the committee wanted to bring the presidents son back to testify. (8,203 posts)that came across my log-in MSN page..it was an editorial opinion from the Natl.Review..I was going to ignore it, as I usually do - curious to see, in light of the congressional contempt of congress charge against the AG, I read it...
my point, to your comment, "Where we can tell whose name is redacted". When I finished reading the article, I mused to self..just look at those who are protesting. So many are heritage foundation, or federalists, and seem to have no problem tearing at the fabric of the constitution.
I don't know what Burr has going considering, by some reports he was a back channel to the wh .. but many are twisting into a pretzel to "stomp" on any opposition to their (wh) plan..I read Democracy in Chains...we are living it!!
Be well..

(36,424 posts)as long as they were essentially in charge. Once the uppity women, people of color, & gays started demanding & actually getting equality & equity in the system, like Zappa said, they will just take down the scenery. They are busy doing that as we speak.
These people are playing for keeps & they are closer then they've ever been to controlling our government & treasury. I'm not sure that democratic leadership knows just what they are up against. Sometimes I worry that they have worked with their "colleagues across the aisle" for so long that they aren't able to see them for what they really are - the enemy of the People, the enemy of representative government.
