Fans Unfurl Massive 'Trump 2020' Banner at Fenway Park
Source: NBC Boston
Several fans unfurled a massive Trump 2020 banner at Friday nights Boston Red Sox game against the Seattle Mariners, prompting other fans to quickly rip it down.
The incident, which happened at Fenway Park, quickly spread on social media, where fans posted photos and videos and offered mixed opinions.
I wouldve ripped it down as well, Aimie Searles said. Good for them.
Another fan disagreed.
Yell and scream at it, Steven Salhaney said. Yeah, I agree. Boo. Definitely. Tearing it down? No.
Shortly after the incident, Dion Cini accepted responsibility for the fiasco, posting a photo of himself holding the banner on Twitter with the caption: Got my flag back.
Cini was banned for life from Disney World last year after he waved another Trump 2020 sign on the Splash Mountain ride at the Magic Kingdom.

(58,285 posts)Why do they think unfurling a big ugly pointless Trump banner in areas they know it will not be well received is a good idea?
What do they think that accomplishes?
It's like they enjoy forcing themselves on people. It's so fucking dictatorial, like Shitler himself. And stupid.

2. Why these Trumpanzees want to ruin our few areas of family fun?
Because white privilege.
The want to hurt, marginalize and inflict pain on anyone not white enough.
This is what dump and his dumpers do. They force themselves on women and minorities and grab them by whatever. I am not much of a sports person yet love our Red Soxs. Makes me never want to go to another game.
They want to destroy America any and every way they can. Baseball is like apple pie. It is loved and they wish to take even that small happiness away from us.

(4,114 posts)wouldn't matter what the banner said but it's pretty obnoxious that someone would unfurl anything that got in the way of someone else's view. Figures, it looks like they're in the cheap seats.

(20,599 posts)I think that entire decrepit, ugly, old stadium should have been burned to the ground, sign and all. That's simply a Yankees fan's take on it though.

(67,782 posts)...(if even that many) real baseball stadiums. Have you ever been there?
Over the years I've been to Ebbets Field, Polo Grounds, ORIGINAL (and 2nd generation, too) Yankee Stadium, Comiskey Park, Wrigley Field, and Fenway Park. They're all gone except for Fenway and Wrigley. I wish we had more stadiums like Fenway Park.

(20,599 posts)I've been to just about every AL park (until they started shifting around the teams). Fenway blows, mostly because of that stupid green wall in left field, but then again it is the home field of the Dead Sox, so how could it not?

(164,137 posts)They probably don't even like baseball, but like the idea of leaving the Trump scent everywhere, since it's synonymous with race-hatred, and can be the equivalent of one of their hateful patio torch parades. Just like wearing their red Trump hats.
I think it's more than possible they are taking money to do it, and not fans at all, or they'd rather just go there to watch the game, not get watched, themselves.
