First on CNN: TSA to deploy hundreds, including air marshals, to border
Source: CNN
Washington (CNN)The Transportation Security Administration plans to send hundreds of officials to help with efforts to deal with migrant inflows on the southern border just as the busy summer travel season begins, according to an internal email obtained by CNN. The task of the TSA workers, which a source said will include air marshals, will be to assist temporarily with immigration duties. TSA acknowledged in an internal email the "immediate need" comes with the acceptance of "some risk" of depleted resources in aviation security. TSA plans for the deployments to involve up to 175 law enforcement officials and as many as "400 people from Security Ops," according to two sources and the email. At least initially, the efforts will not involve uniformed airport screeners, according to the email, which says that some parts of TSA would be asked to contribute "around 10%" of its workforce. "There is now immediate need for more help from TSA at the SW border," a senior TSA official, Gary Renfrow, wrote in the email to agency regional management. "TSA has committed to support with 400 people from Security Ops" who will be deployed in waves "similar to support for past hurricanes." 1. Jesus Christ...
Why are they diverting resources from TSA (*especially* air marshalls) concurrent to provoking Iran (which has a network of sleeper cells at the ready)?
...or did I just answer my question? There was a time I would've thought that NO POTUS would pull an "Operation Northwoods", but could this be leading up to such an event? ![]() |

8. Yep, you answered your own question
I can hear it now:
"If the Democrat [sic] Party had given us the national security resources we requested this horrible tragedy would not have happened. Now it is up to me to declare a national emergency and martial law to protect the nation. First, all news networks will be restricted to reporting only what the DHS approves...Second, all citizens must carry proof of citizenship and the DHS/ICE/Border Patrol agents will immediately begin random check points and raid throughout the borders of the ENTIRE nation. Not just at and within 100 miles of the borders... " I unfortunately do not think I'm exaggerating here. |

7. I think it means that without air marshalls on our planes
it is inviting another 9/11?

10. Exactly what I was thinking.
Hubby's cousin was an air marshall on and beyond 9/11. He got out of that and moved into the investigation end of things. With a family and all, he wanted to do something with a bit more safety.

6. Wonder if this is per Vlad's instructions?
Maybe he wants the planes to be less protected so he can do a false flag terrorism hit and blame it on Iran. drumpf seems to be very intent on this lately, especially since his 1-1/2 hr. conversation with his master and handler. I'm sure Bolton was pushing it too, but it seemed to go nowhere prior to Hair Furor's chat with PUtin.
For his part, I'm sure PUtin is salivating to have an Iranian war for them to sell Iran more weapons to kill the Americans. I also seriously doubt he will let us conquer Iran because it'd look really bad for him personally and PUtin won't let his tool do that. Wonder what he'd do if lil donnie chose the oil over PUtin's approval, would he put out the tapes showing the treason of drumpf right before the election if drumpf disregards his plans for Iran? How many people will die for these megalomaniacs playing with natons lives for their own personal profit and power? |

5. Epic Fail
"Mr. Hotel" president can't make accommodations for temporary border influx.
I'd welcome a "Trump Hotel for Asylum-Seekers" to cash-in on the potential business. That's capitalism. Not sending guns to the border to keep them "customers" away. Again, our president---Mr. Hotel--can't solve a problem of temporary visitors passing through. Remember that when people talk about his great business skills. |

9. The argument that it is like a hurricane is total bs
A hurricane is over in a few days with clean up put on the locals and Guard. This is an endless commitment for TSA.
Chiefly concerned with air travel, the TSA employs screening officers in airports, armed Federal Air Marshals on planes, and mobile teams of dog handlers and explosives specialists. These folks are essential for safe air travel. |

11. Idiots are publicizing they'll have less security at airports and on flights
![]() And that's after they had lots of people quit during the 5 weeks of unpaid work earlier this year. TSA and ICE need some reforms to reduce racial profiling and improve effectiveness of their processes, but this border idea is just stupid. ![]() |

13. So the with the beginning of the summer travel season they are sending Tsa agents to the border?
That is insane. The airlines need to push back now and say no. Who wants to wait in a one hour TSA line. Not me. I was planning on flying instead of driving next month to Arizona, now I realize I have to friggin drive. UGH!

16. OTOH....I was just reading about the decreased # of flights
as a result of airlines grounding their Boeing 737s. It's not as if they can go to Hertz rent-A-Plane to make up the flight numbers. Takes about a year to build those $100 million per each planes. |
