Trump's prized Doral resort is in steep decline, according to company documents, showing his busines
Source: WaPo
Late last year, in a Miami conference room, a consultant for President Trump’s company said business at his prized 643-room Doral resort was in sharp decline. At Doral, which Trump has listed in federal disclosures as his biggest moneymaker hotel, room rates, banquets, golf and overall revenue were all down since 2015. In two years, the resort’s net operating income — a key figure, representing the amount left over after expenses are paid — had fallen by 69 percent. Even in a vigorous economy, the property was missing the Trump Organization’s internal business targets; for instance, the club expected to take in $85 million in revenue in 2017 but took in just $75 million. “They are severely underperforming” other resorts in the area, tax consultant Jessica Vachiratevanurak told a Miami-Dade County official in a bid to lower the property’s tax bill. The reason, she said: “There is some negative connotation that is associated with the brand.” Read more: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trumps-prized-doral-resort-is-in-steep-decline-according-to-company-documents-showing-his-business-problems-are-mounting/2019/05/14/03cc701a-6b54-11e9-be3a-33217240a539_story.html?tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.8e9f294eb581

living in a cardboard box under a bridge.

After all he's done for our country.

11. His brand is ruined
Other than people seeking his favor. I can’t image organizations, of the size who could do business there, wanting anything to do with his name from a PR or recruitment stand point.

21. Oh please.
Anyone here would much rather have syphilis than Trump. It's fun to catch. It's reasonably easy to get rid of. And if you have it cured in time, it won't affect your life much...one shot in the ass and ten days with no beer, and you're done.
Trump is a different story. |

22. The point is the co-op owners of units in Syphilis Towers are suing to keep their tower ...
from being renamed "Trump Towers".
At the same time time: one never sees Syphilis and Son, Attorney at Law, or Syphilis Motors. |

Last edited Wed May 15, 2019, 08:31 AM - Edit history (1) Another story this week highlighted plummeting prices and ownership at Trump Tower in NYC. Agree that once out of office, all his crappy places will take an even bigger nosedive.

He'll just file for bankruptcy (again), avoid paying his employees or honoring their pensions, and write the whole thing off to avoid paying taxes.

16. Why should a loss of income justify a property tax reduction?
Aside from the fact that they probably can't afford to pay the property tax.
The property has not lost value, just the name over the door. |

Removing ownership from the equation; I find it difficult that a luxury resort is losing property value and/or equity.

upper-middle class older white fellow golfers. Although openly political discussion is strictly banned, I've no doubt many of these assclowns would blame the "deep state" for the plummeting state of the Doral property!
