White House escalates war against Facebook, Google and Twitter with a campaign asking users to share
Source: Washington Post
The White House on Wednesday escalated its war against Silicon Valley when it announced an unprecedented campaign asking Internet users to share if they had been censored on Facebook, Google and Twitter, tapping into President Trumps long-running claim that tech giants are biased against conservatives.
The effort, which the White House said on Twitter was directed at users no matter your views, seeks to collect names, contact information and other details from Americans. The survey asks whether they have encountered problems on Facebook, Instagram, Google-owned YouTube, Twitter or other social media sites companies the president frequently takes aim at for alleged political censorship.
Too many Americans have seen their accounts suspended, banned, or fraudulently reported for unclear violations of user policies, the survey claims.
The White House also asked users for permission to send new email newsletters about President Trumps fight for free speech," so that the administration can update you without relying on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. The president is one of Twitters most prolific users, regularly blasting out his political thoughts to more than 60 million followers on the site.

(24,708 posts)They can censor whatever they want. Doesn't this website censor certain posts?
Freedom of speech is a constitutional right for one to be free of government censorship. Trump was very quick to demand that the NFL censor and sanction football players for their political beliefs, wasn't he?

(10,373 posts)It's not Facebook, Google or Twitter doing the censoring. It's the Banana Republican PINO.

If private companies have to allow anyone and everyone to use their platform, then why can't I walk into Fox's studios and demand airtime?

Get email addresses and names, telephone#s. Maybe get some demographic info and political leanings. Rope them in.
Then ask if the target would be willing to talk to the peeResident or appear with him at a rally. Get more information. Solidify with credit-card data.
Bingo - another batch of stupidos to be deluged with robo-emails/calls. Tell them with personalized emails that their Democratic rep/senator was coming to take away their guns or force abortions on their children.

(11,885 posts)He wants o dictate to all businesses , including farmers, what they can and can not do, and before long he'll be telling farmers what they can plant , and what they can't plant, or he'll threaten them, and withhold any funds given to them . He does the same thing with everything he does, his way or else. He's no friend to any businesses in this country. He's intentionally hurting them now.
