The transgender woman whose April assault in a Dallas parking lot went viral was shot and killed Saturday morning, police say.
Dallas police said they found Muhlaysia Booker, 23, dead of an apparent gunshot wound in the 7200 block of Valley Glen Drive around 6:40 a.m. Saturday.
Police said they had not made any arrests in connection to Booker's death and said Sunday they do not believe there is a connection with the April assault.

"Weddington said Sunday that Thomas was no longer in jail and police did not know where he was. However, there was nothing to connect Thomas to Booker's death, Weddington said."
Sounds like cops have not even contacted her earlier attacker. You would think the police would want to know where that attacker was at the time of the shooting.

(6,045 posts)to give the police the benefit of the doubt & time to do proper investigations...But ITS A FACT unless its a cop who's been shot or violated in some way, a cop's family, a pretty young white girl(unless raped by a male football player, or other prized male in our society), or white folks in general depending on the crime & their or their victims economic standing in society...Then, I'm sorry, law enforcement in general has proven time & time again everyone else is simply of lower priority to they really don't care!
