SAN FRANCISCO Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerbergs personal security chief faces accusations of sexual misconduct and making racist and homophobic comments, according to a report Thursday by a business news site.
In a detailed article, Business Insider cited legal letters reportedly written by former employees of Zuckerbergs household staff. The letters reportedly described pervasive discriminatory conduct and severe levels of sexual harassment and battery, including racist and homophobic comments about members of Zuckerbergs staff and his wife, Priscilla Chan.
The security chief, Liam Booth, is a former Secret Service officer, according to his LinkedIn profile, and has been with the familys charitable organization, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, since 2017.
A spokesman from the family office of Zuckerberg and Chan said Booth has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation of unspecified misconduct allegations. The spokesman said the office takes workplace misconduct complaints seriously.

(81,432 posts)The demand letters also outlined racist remarks Booth allegedly made against Zuckerbergs wife Priscilla Chan and black people. Booth allegedly claimed Chan couldnt drive because she was a woman and Asian and had no peripheral vision[.] He also allegedly said he didnt trust Black people and white lives matter more than Black lives. In addition, Booth is accused of calling a transgender staffer an it rather than their preferred pronoun. Zuckerberg spokesman Ben LaBolt told the website Booth is on administrative leave pending the completion of an investigation by an outside law firm. The family office takes complaints of workplace misconduct very seriously and our human resources team promptly investigates all such matters, he said.

(1,702 posts)Someone made an altered video of Zuckerberg or his wife? Slurring or doing something altered from an actual video. Or maybe even his security officer who appeared on AC 360 and made a complete fool of herself.
Be interesting to see if Facebook pulled that video down.
