The Caltech and USGS professor who is the go to person for this was just on; Lucy Jones. If I caught what she was saying correctly, the only other faults/places that might be effected by the quake in Kern County are those within 40 miles of the previous epicenter.

Tough for Kern County, but not exactly the "Big One" ... odds for that are the same as they ever are.

a major earthquake up in Kern County back in 1952 (that's what the old-timers told me back when I used to live in Southern California (late '90s). It was a 7.3 magnitude and the small town of Tehachapi took the brunt of it. Killed 11, with over 30 injured and about two million dollars in property damage - pretty much every building in Tehachapi experienced some degree of earthquake damage.

when you actually meant 'over the next week' ... is a pretty egregious science (and probability) fail.

No where near the San Andreas fault.
