Labour bosses accused of undermining fight against antisemitism
Source: The Guardian
Eight whistleblowers have said how they felt fatally undermined by senior Labour bosses in their attempts to tackle antisemitism, alleging consistent interference in complaints and claiming that one key aide mocked their efforts.
Four of the whistleblowers, including former Labour general secretary Iain McNicol, who left his post last year, have broken non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to come forward.
The Labour party has raised complaints to the highest level at the BBC about the Panorama programme. Former officials allege key aides including Labours director of communications, Seumas Milne, and the current general secretary, Jennie Formby, interfered with investigations.
Jeremy Corbyns personal email address was also copied into leaked email chains, which former officials allege show interference.

(21,650 posts)It's no secret that he's been actively promoting right-wing parties in numerous countries in the west - including the GOPee.
Not that there isn't some truth to this, I'm sure - but then, Tory lawmakers have history of problems with anti-Semitism and bigotry in general as well.
But Conservatives - like the GOP - are much more likely to look the other way at Israel's rogue state behavior and human rights atrocities toward the occupied territories.

(9,685 posts)I am sorry but you are factually incorrect
You are peddling the same shit labour has to try and excuse with its massive problem right now with anti-antisemitism. The BBC have done an excellent and in depth expose of this, and to dismiss it is not acceptable.
And BTW why are you bringing Bibi into this post? Sorry, but you are spouting a trope that is not acceptable

Your theory is wildly off on all counts

(9,685 posts)It was damning. And real. When you have a leadership interfering about anti-Semitic complaints to the point that the leader of the team dealing with complaints thought about suicide.... we have a huge anti-Semitic problem within Labour as is. And that creates a problem for liberal progressives looking for a political home.
