Donald Trump in new attack on Sadiq Khan with Katie Hopkins retweet

Donald Trump has retweeted the British far-right commentator Katie Hopkins and launched another attack on Sadiq Khan.

Referring to a message from Hopkins that the Met’s Twitter account had been targeted by hackers on Friday night, in which she said officers had “lost control of London streets” and “lost control of their Twitter account too”, Trump tweeted: “With the incompetent mayor of London, you will never have safe streets!”

It is Trump’s latest move in an ongoing spat with Khan, during whichhe called the London mayor a “national disgrace” and “stone cold loser”, comments dismissed by the London mayor as childish.

Minutes before his latest jibe against Khan, Trump retweeted videos posted by Hopkins that supported the US president’s recent racist attacks on four US congresswomen.

Hopkins hosted a weekly show on LBC on Sundays. A spokesman for the broadcaster said: “LBC and Katie Hopkins have agreed that Katie will leave LBC effective immediately.” The station refused to confirm or deny that Hopkins had been sacked, or give details of the severance. Asked for further details, a spokesman said: “That’s all we’re saying.”

There were “massive cheers and applause” from former colleagues in the newsroom after confirmation was received that she would be leaving, the BBC’s media editor, Amol Rajan, reported.

Hopkins’ tweet, made in the hours after the explosion at Manchester Arena, said: “22 dead – number rising. Schofield. Don’t you even dare. Do not be a part of the problem. We need a final solution Machester [sic].”

Her hatred grew steadily more extreme over the years, forcing The Sun, the Daily Mail and everyone else having to drop her as too extreme even for them (more in that Guardian article). That the White House (Stephen Miller, I expect) follows her just shows what white supremacists they are.

He trails his hundreds of slimy nazi ties behind him, like a 400 pound orange garden slug. I remember that Little Bird twitter analysis story, that showed tRump kept retweeting top white supremacist twitter accounts, accounts that had the largest number of fellow nazi followers.

He retweeted another white supremacist in February, this time sharing content from a user whose bio reads “#WhiteGenocide is real.” Just last month, he retweeted a supporter who writes about “white nationalism and genocide.” Similar incidents have occurred at least a half-dozen times, and most of the tweets in question have not been deleted from Trump’s account.

In fact, back in January, Little Bird took a closer look at the most recent 21 people Trump had retweeted, and 62% of them had used the hashtag #WhiteGenocide lately, while 28% of them followed White Nationalist accounts.
