BALTIMORE - While President Donald Trump was firing off his latest round of tweets Sunday criticizing U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings, the congressman was home in his district attending church and listening to a sermon about putting change into action.
On Saturday, Trump elicited anger from some Baltimore residents when he tweeted that the city was a "rat and rodent infested mess." The comments were aimed at Cummings, a Democrat who has been a vocal critic of Trump's border and immigration policies.
Cummings represents Maryland's 7th district, which includes portions of Baltimore City and extends into Baltimore and Howard counties.
"If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place," Trump tweeted about Cummings Saturday.

Sadly, there are large parts of the populace who are really racist and would love nothing more than to go full Nazi. They are happy to buy into Trump's scapegoating and blame minorities even as the 1 percent robs them blind.
However, even on "the progressive side," we still have some candidates attacking Democrats for supporting "open borders" and pushing the same blame Mexico and China trade for all that ails American workers that Trump espouses.

(9,426 posts)say loud and clear "If we got rid of slumlords like Jarrod Kushner, the city could begin to reform" People need affordable housing, not slums rented at excessive rents. Many are subsidized by Section 8 taxpayer money, why can't the landlords clean up the rentals? Too bad the landlords cannot be sentenced to live in one of their own sub standard units for a month.

But Trump hit a hornets nest in this one. Article after article is being written about Jareds slum apartments in that area. Also about his many loans.
