While Democrats widely agree on several reforms, including implementing universal background checks and capping the size of magazines, the party remains divided on the viability of banning assault rifles, the types of weapons that have been used in several high-profile mass shootings, including the two last week.

Legislation that was introduced in the House in February to outlaw assault rifles currently has 196 cosponsors, all of whom are Democrats.

Here are the 12 Democrats representing districts President Trump won in 2016 who back the measure:

1. Angie Craig is my representative

I've met her before, really nice, intelligent woman. She won by a very slim margin in an area with a lot of red in it, and where even Democrats have almost as many guns as Republicans.

It's a gutsy move on her part, I'll give her that.
