"60 Minutes" host Scott Pelley announced the network had obtained a letter indicating the whistleblower is under protection because they fear for their safety.

The letter from the whistleblower's lawyer, Andrew Bakaj, Compass Rose LLC, indicates that the office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has activated "appropriate resources" to protect them.

The Hill has reached out to Bakaj.

The complaint, which was released to the public on Thursday, is at the center of the House Democrat's impeachment inquiry.

Trump and his allies have sought to discredit the complaint and the whistleblower behind it.

The president on Sunday tweeted that the person who filed the complaint should be outed and said they will face "big consequences."...............................

He has asked numerous people to find out who they are for him, and then he can directly attack and threaten them, and use Barr to suggest they will be prosecuted for some bs made up accusation for trump. It's coming. Trump will abuse all powers to get to them for his revenge.
