ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer is now a member of the U.S. Naval Academy’s Board of Visitors.

Spicer was sworn in Monday during a board meeting in Annapolis, Maryland.

The board reviews the state of morale and discipline at the academy and its curriculum and fiscal affairs. It includes members of Congress.

Spicer holds a master’s degree from the Naval War College in Rhode Island. He served as press secretary for President Donald Trump when he came into office. He resigned from the job in July 2017.

After all his lies, he gets appointed to a military academy position that should require an example of integrity.

Morale? Not for now.

First, we have IQ45 over-ruling military trial findings that "forgive" military members for breaking accepted law - and now we have a disgraced person famed for defending "alternate truths", as well as, well, terrible dancing, now serving as a member of a board that has oversight of a US Military Academy?

My GAWD, how can you make this story even MORE bizarre?

I'm sure those that have chosen to make their military service a life-time commitment are beginning to have second thoughts now - as well as those that might consider what the future holds for them as they attempt to honor the words that they committed to when they were sworn in...........

I guess my opinion of the U.S. Naval Academy was out of whack.

What does he bring to the table? Any qualifications? Or is he just a "famous name" that someone wanted?

IMO, it certainly brings a certain "ick" factor to their boardroom.

I smell an attempt by the Navy brass to kiss-up to Trump after standing up about war criminals.
