Trump says no deadline for China trade deal

Source: The Hill

President Trump said Tuesday that he doesn’t have a deadline for reaching a trade agreement with China and “in some ways” it might be better to wait until after the 2020 election to reach a deal.

“I don’t have a deadline,” Trump told reporters during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in London. “In some ways, I think it’s better to wait until after the election with China."

“But they want to make a deal now, and we’ll see whether or not the deal’s going to be right, it’s got to be right,” Trump said.

Trump was asked about ongoing trade discussions with China on the sidelines of a NATO summit in London.

JHC another issue he's given up on. Put it with healthcare in the "things even I realize are just too hard" category!

Years ago the SEC was something to be feared. I remember the panic whenever there was an upcoming audit as they left no stone unturned. Everyone was a nervous wreck. Of course that was years ago, before republican deregulation of anything and everything for the benefit of wealthy donors.

and obama did little to fix it as we all know the fraud and corruption of the housing market crash had little investigations and less prosecutions. Sad state of govt, FCC, IRS, SEC, FTC and all others pretty much worthless

thus insuring that it will happen again. "We can do whatever we want and the taxpayers will bail us out." No wonder we see corruption everywhere we look. Why bother following the rules? No one will go to jail.

markets obviously have a different set of sensitivities. Who in their right mind would put so much weight on what any politician says on social media?

Oh wait.....this is the same stock market that often crashed and saw suicides over Greenspan's every syllable.......
