Commercial pilot charged after allegedly writing racist graffiti on bathroom wall

Source: CNN

(CNN)A commercial pilot has been charged with criminal mischief after allegedly writing racist and pro-Trump graffiti at the Tallahassee, Florida, airport, court documents show.

Police charged James Ellis Dees, now a former Endeavor Air employee, with nine counts of criminal mischief after he admitted he wrote such slurs as "#MAGA =NO N**S =NO SP**S" -- derogatory terms toward African Americans and Hispanics -- multiple times, according to court documents. The graffiti was found mainly in airport bathrooms and the parking lot elevator.
Airport police approached Dees and asked about the graffiti earlier this month. When police told him he was identified as the writer after a camera was installed in the parking lot elevator where the graffiti was discovered, the court document said, Dees admitted to writing some of it.

"Here, I sit in smelly vapor, "

(I forgot how the rest of it went, but I remember a good belly laugh off'a it.)

And there was one time, "For a good time, call, ###, som'thin, som'thin -- I don't remember the number anymore I'm an old guy now). I did and I did have a good time. Cost me around $15 at the doctor but it was a good time. Wish I could still remember the number.

...would terminate you for defacing their property. And in addition to that they would probably wonder about the state of mind of anyone over the age of 18 who would do this crap. If he got canned, that sounds about right to me.

that if you do anything that makes the company look bad, you're subject to termination. This story was going to get out that a pilot for the airline was writing racist graffiti at the airport. If they kept him on, that would make the airline look bad. This is the kind of thing the Internet loves to go wild over. They don't want that kind of publicity. They're protecting their image. IIRC, a number of the white supremacists who marched at Charlottesville we're fired from their jobs.

Police released Dees after questioning him, and Dees "began to get on his flight, but then decided that he was not in the 'right state of mind' to fly a plane"

Does this mean that decided he was not in the right state of mind or Dees decided it himself? Either way, be was close to flying, wow.
