Pelosi rips up Trump speech at conclusion of State of the Union

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Tuesday ripped up her copy of President Trump's prepared remarks at the conclusion of his State of the Union address.

As Trump finished speaking and most lawmakers stood to applaud, Pelosi stood, took the printed copy of Trump's speech and tore it in half. She placed the shredded copy in a stack on the dais as Trump made his way to greet members of Congress.

The moment capped a tense address from Trump that started when the president appeared to snub Pelosi's offer of a handshake.

Pelosi largely seemed to avoid looking at Trump throughout the address, instead reading from his prepared remarks and scanning the room.

One such moment was when Trump called California "a very terrible sanctuary," a comment not included among his prepared remarks.

"The State of California passed an outrageous law declaring their whole State to be a sanctuary for criminal illegal immigrants -- a very terrible sanctuary -- with catastrophic results," Trump said.

It was a state of his delusion. Nancy again was great as always, while trump made a fool of himself to the country and the world, again. The GOP will eventually be begging us to help them remove him as more bombshells expose him and them more. They are really screwing up as trump will get even more corrupt and demands they become more corrupt , them when they refuse he'll turn on them too. Especially when his money issues are exposed , and his crimes with putin get exposed.

It was so satisfying! He told so many lies per minute of speech that I gave up. (The biggest one to me was when he bragged that so many thousands of citizens had gotten off the welfare programs, when in reality he is busy pulling the rug out from under them.)

The speech was infuriating. I spent every applause period imagining punching his orange face. So, when Nancy gave him that dirty look and ripped up his speech, I LOVED it! That was what we all wanted to do! Thank you, Nancy!
