Trump bucks Barr's request to stop tweeting about Justice Dept., declaring a 'legal right' to seek i

Source: Washington Post

A day after Attorney General William P. Barr publicly warned President Trump not to tweet about the Justice Department, Trump did just that, declaring that he has the “legal right” to ask his top law enforcement official to get involved in a criminal case.

In his tweet, Trump quoted Barr from a television interview Thursday in which he asserted that the president had never asked him to do anything related to a criminal case.

“This doesn’t mean that I do not have, as President, the legal right to do so, I do, but I have so far chosen not to!” Trump added in his own voice.

His tweet followed a remarkable interview with ABC News, in which Barr said, “I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” adding that such statements “about the department, about people in the department, our men and women here, about cases pending here, and about judges before whom we have cases, make it impossible for me to do my job and to assure the courts and the prosecutors and the department that we’re doing our work with integrity.”

and Trump says he can do what he wants to do. And that is good for us. This actually proves to all, that Trump, in his own words, can do what he wants to do. Even if there is some sort of question as to the validity of him doing so..
...There are undecided voters, who don't believe Trump wants unlimited power. This tweet almost proves that unlimited power is what he really wants. Many undecided voters will see this as a terrible statement and vote for the Democrat instead. Of course we do not know, and will not know for a while, but this statement by Trump this morning against his Attorney General just about proves deepest fears of many people. Further, Trump could have waited for a while, and talked privately with his Attorney General about this, but no, that is not what he did. Trump could not wait for a private conversation about his tweeting. Trump had to attack right away, and that is very good for our side.

this isn't some business that you use to run into the ground, whereby you were judge, jury and executioner, it doesn't work that way in a Democratic Republic, in your fascists authoritarian head you "think" you can do it but you can't, even if you have AG that is basically a liar, because your AG is trying to have it both ways and trying his damnedest to pull off a PR stunt, because he has to go to Congress and get money from us the taxpayers..................so in essence you and him and can go fuck off, right along with all of your republican enablers..........................that committed treason.....................................

That's what Stone did and what he'll justifiably serve time for.

This may be a reason we got where we are:
Scream, holler, sue, demand and keep the drumbeat going when this shit occurs.
Spend the money, lawyer hours and keep public pressure at a peak or more of it will roll downhill.

This is an act. Barr s orchestrating this to make it look like he's independent to give his fascist acts on Trump's behalf credibility.

is because he can’t do his dirty work in the dark. The Trump tweets shine a big spotlight on his meddling.

It’s all out in the open now. So yeah, it’s hard for Barr to do his job with people actually scrutinizing his moves.

Barr's only complaint was that Turd was making the corruption game too public, not that the corruption itself is any problem for Barr.
