India pours on the pageantry with colorful welcome for Trump

By JILL COLVIN and JONATHAN LEMIRE

AHMEDABAD, INDIA (AP) — Basking in adulation from a massive, colorful crowd, President Donald Trump and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi lavished each other with praise Monday in a reaffirmation of U.S.-India ties as the subcontinent poured on the pageantry in a joyful welcome for the U.S. president. Trump capped his whirlwind day with a sunset tour of India’s famed Taj Mahal.

More than 100,000 people packed the world’s largest cricket stadium in Modi’s home state to give Trump the biggest rally crowd of his political career. The event was the pinnacle of the day’s enviable trio of presidential photo-ops, and was sandwiched between Trump’s visits to a former home of independence leader Mohandas Gandhi and the Taj Mahal.

Nearly everyone in the newly constructed stadium in Ahmedabad in western India sported a white cap with the name of the event, “Namaste, Trump” or “Welcome, Trump,” and roared for the introductions of both leaders.

But miles away in the capital of New Delhi, Indian police used tear gas and smoke grenades to disperse a crowd of clashing protesters hours before Trump was due to arrive, as violence broke out over a new citizenship law that excludes Muslims. Anti-Trump street demonstrations also erupted in Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Gauhati, but not in the city where Trump was hosted.

U.S. President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrive for a "Namaste Trump," event at Sardar Patel Stadium, Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, in Ahmedabad, India. After Air Force One touched down in Ahmedabad in western India, Trump's motorcade slowly drove down streets lined with hundreds of thousands of onlookers. He began that day's high-wattage trio of presidential photo-ops: a visit to a former home of independence leader Mohandas Gandhi, a rally at a huge cricket stadium and a trip to the famed Taj Mahal. The Corporate Fascists would love to have india supply all their computer work done by the Indians. the Fascist Corporations would no longer be held hostage by American computer wages and the salaries they make.

India has somehow convinced corporations that their employees are superior to American Computer workers and have more education.
Which is pure & complete crap. Many companies bring the Indian workers in, turn them loose on their IT Dept's only to massively regret it within a few months.......

someone I know was on a response team for a Company that comes in after a companies system gets screwed up and fixes all the problem. He said one of the biggest problems is talking/working with especially indian computer workers because they think they are far superior to anyone else, even though time and time again it was their work and ignorance that screwed up the companies system.
He said the second biggest problem is trying to tactfully tell the Corporate Heads what/who brought the problems down upon them....often times his company would straighten out things and the corporation would turn the system back over to the same indian workers that caused the problems. He said that the Indian workers arrogance and sense of superiority to everyone and anyone else was like nothing he had seen by workers coming in from other countries.......

He also said something, that if true is scary as hell. He says there is a rumor that the IRS electronically sends a huge amount of peoples tax returns over to Indian companies to be processed because it costs half as much as to do the work than it costs for American workers. After Haliburton and the Iraq war, I could easily believe that!!!!!!!

The dictionary description of Corporations joining Governments: The dictionary's say it is called FASCISM, pure and simple. Then all that is needed to complete the take over is a Tyrant............

MF45. Evil corrupt and a divider. India is a cesspool of garbage and toxic smells. I hope MF45 is constantly gagging from the smells of that country.

A good friend of mine married a man from India during a vulnerable period in her life. He took her back there to visit his family and then told her they were going to end up living there after he got his PhD. She said the smells were gross and everyday woke up feeling like she was sick. When she got back to the SF Bay Area. She divorced him and moved to Hawaii. She said to this day she remembers with revulsion the smells of India.
