Liberty University Hit with Class Action Lawsuit

Liberty University students filed a class action lawsuit against the school alleging that the university and it’s president, Jerry Falwell Jr., placed “students at severe physical risk and refused to refund thousands of dollars in fees owed to them for the Spring 2020 semester,” the New York Times reports.

Falwell downplayed the pandemic for weeks before finally announcing a shift to online instruction in late March. However, the school invited students to stay in its residence halls and will only give students a $1,000 credit if the leave campus.

12. In the early seventies I worked for a building supply company near Lynchburg VA and

we supplied material for the Thomas Road Baptist Church. The company was never paid, and Jerry Falwell basically dared it to sue the church. The boss was possibly a real Christian and let it go as a loss.

Why anyone would do any work for these grifters is beyond me. My Dad, who was a New York State Judge, used to tell me stories about millionaires who would never pay their bills. They'd bury everyone in legal paperwork (I guess they actually paid their lawyers) until they were so frustrated they'd drop the charges. I guess that's how they got to be millionaires?
