Heartland hotspots:A sudden rise in coronavirus cases hitting rural states without stay home orders

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) — The test results came back on Easter Sunday. Tammy had been feeling "kind of crappy" when she went to her doctor in rural southeastern Oklahoma last week. A sign of possible pneumonia prompted her to get a coronavirus test later that day at the McCurtain County Health Department in Idabel.

When it came back positive, Tammy, who spoke on the condition that CNN not use her last name to protect her privacy, had already quarantined herself. Isolated, she decided to write her governor, Kevin Stitt, the first-term Republican and one of just 8 governors in the US to resist issuing a statewide stay-at-home-order. Tammy had voted for Stitt but she didn't agree with his decision.

Her message to him was simple: "Shut this mess down."

It will end up maybe killing his supporters. Hopefully Democrats will ignore him and stay safe by limiting their exposure.

He wants the pandemic to be absolutely raging in Nov. He's such an ass he's just assuming it will be more rampant in big cities where he can have his clones (fascist russian repug) governors close down all precincts in the cities so there's only 1 place to vote and the lines are many hours long and he can seed in his white nationalists with guns and they can start riots and he will declare martial law and stop the election - saying he won. Far white wing sites are pushing the meme that this election will be a riot and we're trying to steal it from their leader and to gun up. Guns shops in the NE FL area are totally sold out from the right wingers buying up everything they can to be ready to "stop us" with force. Fascist Russian Repug SCOTUS will go along because this is part of the rw dogma to take over the world since the 1920's. This is their big chance and they are already jumping. Refusing to allow testing nationwide while his own company developed a test kit - which took 12 weeks to ship out usable versions. So for 12 weeks, as he was very aware, the virus was spreading rampant for his own personal profit. It took him well over a month to allow any other versions of tests and none have been approved that are capable of being mass produced at the level we need. Then he "sells" China billions of dollars worth of PPE out of our national stockpile - then when China sends us the replacement materials, he doesn't just turn these around to where needed, he sends them to a company (bet he's getting a huge kick back) that jacks up the prices and makes the states bid against each other for items taxpayers have already paid. Profiteering is why we don't have what we need and why he won't nationalize this effort. He wants us to die, thinks it's only working class and poor and and he wants to steal all our Social Security and Medicare money and our dying makes that a little easier. if we're dead we can't vote against him, another feature as far as he's concerned.

Didn't think so. Sooo Sad. Bigly.

Yes, it is a terrible attitude to have, but with the idiots re-opening and re-infecting the rest of us, I support the ones willing to make the necessary sacrifices to end this nightmare.

Not the ones responding to rich, conservative fucks' initiated ASTROTURFing.

We need to be able to point out the differences between real grass roots concerns and racist, sexist, homophobic, nationalistic NAZI movements, sponsored by 1%ers. For profits. Their profits, over OUR lives.

Journalists? You have a BIG story with this. DO YOUR JOB!!!
