Republican Group Asks Americans A Critical Question In Scathing Anti-Trump Ad

Source: huff post

04/25/2020 09:55 am ET

George Conway’s Lincoln Project and fellow anti-Trump group Republicans for the Rule of Law released spots attacking the president on the same day.

Two conservative groups that are working to defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 election released online ads Friday attacking the president’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Lincoln Project, of which conservative attorney George Conway (the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway) is a prominent member, released this video asking which kind of American its viewers would like to be ― one, like Trump, who demands, or one who makes sacrifices.

Check out the ad here:

Republicans for the Rule of Law, meanwhile, shared a minute-long video of Trump musing during Thursday’s task force briefing about injecting disinfectant to combat the virus. Trump claimed Friday he was being sarcastic.

“50,000 people have died. This is our president,” read the text at the start of the clip. It ended with the words: “Unfit. Unwell. Unacceptable.”..................................

And learn not just the techniques of manipulation employed, but imbibe the knee-breaking attitude which animates their use. These turncoats are at present invaluable. They won't always be on our side, though, and we have to be able to do this sort of thing ourselves.

How do we get them on board though? It seems that when they sometimes strike back hard, the message gets turned against us calling us bad people. Look at how dump calls reporters who challenge him and ask strongly worded questions, fake news or bad people. Rather than answering the question, he pivots and assaults character.

That is what they do when confronted with truth, they pivot and get personal. I think the hardest part for our side is the manipulation aspect. We tend to shy away from tactics that employ manipulative substance.

I agree though that our advertising needs to learn from our new found frenemy.

Don't answer the question asked or the charge made. Repeat the charge you are making, and do it in even stronger terms. Challenge the questioner, tell him his bias is too obvious to ignore, and no one cares about his question. Answer any charge made against you with a charge against an opponent, and tell the person making it, again, that his bias his revealed by the very fact he is making a charge against you, that everyone knows is false, when he should pressing charges against your opponent everyone knows are true. Ask him why on earth is he lying, and making such a wretched spectacle of himself?

In short, play the fucking game the way it's played, and never let up. Never concede an inch, and make them like it.

We, on the left, don't need convincing.

Somehow we have to get through to some of these blockheads on the right.

We here don't need any "preaching to the choir."

We need those "undecided" (OMG, how can you be "undecided" - is your head in the sand = or elsewhere?) and people who have been burned by the 3 1/2 years of Trumpdom to see these. If they're not totally pledged to Faux Spews or "Rush-dumb" they just might get the message (but I have NO great hope.......).

I've been sending articles (thebulwark.com), videos, podcasts, etc... of anti-trump conservatives to Trumpers thinking that maybe coming at it from that angle would help them see the problems, but they always just dismiss it as liberal propaganda and lies (even though it's coming from conservatives they once loved) I think all the ones that could be convinced have already been convinced. Even if George Bush came out and called Trump out, the Trumpians would call him a liberal shill. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think so.

You have to remember -- no matter what right wing media spews,
most American voters are closer to moderate, left or right.
The far-right crazies are just a highly visible, noisy minority.

Most importantly -- Get Out That Vote !!!

Or stretch the truth or pull out the slime machine. Trump is exemplified in his own words, deeds and ridiculous penchant for disinformation. It's all been on display. The images and audio live forever.

Trump has always been his own worst enemy. Now, he's his own gravedigger, too.

Dig that hole, Donnie! The Deeper, the Darker, the Better.

The largest book advance of all will be for Kellyanne when she is done with Trump.

She sold herself for money and fame, first with Cruz totally against Trump, and then switched over for more money and fame when Trump looked more favorable in the campaigns.

Her loyalty is for sale.

Was/is it irony when Kellyanne prostituted herself for money for Cruz or when she prostitutes herself for money for Trump?

However, I have to believe that with all of these crushing ads, his approval ratings will plummet.

Maybe we'll see some ads on Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, CBS All Access....

That its all a game to them. Whomever gets on the news, or riles up the "other side" the most.

Because I just cannot fathom living with such a vile lying pro-Trumper like KellyAnne.....if you actually are as aghast at Trump's admin as George puts out he is. How could you be in the same room let alone married to such a person?

Does that contest, that manufactured friction, spice up their sex? What is it?
