Pence staff threatens action against reporter who tweeted about visit to clinic without surgical mas

Pence’s wife, Karen Pence, said in an interview with Fox News on Thursday that he was unaware of the mask policy until his visit was over.

But Steve Herman, who covers the White House for Voice of America, suggested that there was more to the story after Karen Pence’s interview.

“All of us who traveled with (Pence) were notified by the office of @VP the day before the trip that wearing of masks was required by the @MayoClinic and to prepare accordingly,” tweeted Herman, who covered the trip as part of his rotation as one of the pool reporters, who share information with other reporters in limited-space situations.

The tweet apparently enraged Pence’s staff, which told Herman that he had violated the off-the-record terms of a planning memo that had been sent to him and other reporters in advance of Pence’s trip.

It was damn obvious they were all told to wear masks; because they all did, apart from goddamn* Pence. You don't need the "off-the-record briefing" from before the event to say, after the event, that they were told to were masks. And note the article says the WSJ journalist who made a similar tweet is unpunished. Because his organ is brownnosing Trump sufficiently at the moment.

*If Pence is right and I am wrong, and there is a Christian God, then I think he is indeed running the risk of damnation. "Do not bear false witness" and so on. He's got a lot of repenting to do.

29. Look carefully at the pictures from Mayo Clinic.

The “patient” on the black exam bench with the crazy pink socks has no admission wristband. He’s wearing two tags, one with his first name and one EMPLOYEE BADGE. Just like the guy next to him. And they both have yellow wrist bands ostensibly indicating that they have been tested and cleared to be near the veep. The photo op was completely staged. The veep knew he was around only people who were cleared as safe.
