While the full stay-at-home order was lifted today, many businesses (including tattoo shops, massage parlors, and nail salons) were allowed to reopen a week ago, on April 24th. Since symptoms can take between a few days and two weeks to show up, it's quite possible that the surge in cases is the result of infections since last Friday.

It will grow exponentially, and this is just the tip of the ugly iceberg. . . .

What is truly too bad is that the motherfucker responsible for this won't pay the consequences. . . .

...because symptoms show up between a few days and two weeks after infection. While the full stay-at-home order expired today, the Republican governor allowed lots of businesses to reopen last Friday, so any jump in cases today could well be caused by that event. By next Friday, it will be two weeks after the initial reopening, and one week after the full reopening, so we'll know even more.

Its already begun. What I mean is that the more liberal voting coasts spiked first and they dealt with it quickly and strictly. So while their curves are flattening, the Red States will start to rise dramatically. Then, yes a tragedy for those infected, but hopefully will see Trump's numbers really start to decline along with that.

I counted every GA county with 100 or more cases on April 27, and recounted those counties today.

Although over the time period Fulton/De Kalb/Cobb reported over 500 new cases, three counties with chicken plants (Gwinett, Hall and Haversham) added about 700 new cases.

What was up with testing?

Double your testing, you'll come close to doubling the # of infections detected without an increase in actual infections.

In fact, if the infection rate is going down and you increase testing, you'll be able to produce a nice graph showing the infection rate is increasing. (Or the other way 'round--you can decrease testing and show a declining # of cases even as the population grows sick and half of it dies in the next 3 weeks.)
