(3,868 posts)"disinterest" in what was beginning to feel like a 24/7 focus on TR. Most DU members do not have to rely on DU posts to keep up with evolving political stories, on TR or anything else. We're pretty dialed in. Did you assume that we were not already getting all relevant updates on Tara Reade so you signed up to give them to us?

(52,719 posts)if you know everything? I come here to learn something in an arena that contains a multitude of stories and news, in one progressive place.
Please don't suggest you speak for all of DU.

(96,043 posts)Even people who enjoy doing the razor work, such as myself, are getting a little tired of it. The temptation to instruct a gaggle of strangers on something that excites you is understandable, but in fact it might be wise for you to cast your nets a bit wider, and let us know your views on other matters.

(114,507 posts)Nobody knows if he got pissed and made a tacky pass, but her story has changed so many times I wonder if she does. What we do know is that her complaint at the time might paint him as a sexist pig, it made no mention of anything worse. I'm just saying her story is beginning to look very, very shaky.
But we will never know because she didn't pursue whatever it was at the appropriate time.
Now that the original complaint has failed to corroborate her current statements, the wise thing to do would be to decline more interviews and hope none of the checks bounce.

(23,523 posts)but she remembers exactly what he said and did. Most people are more sure about their own actions than things others do and say, over time, in my experience.
At any rate, it's not much use making a complaint when you aren't being completely truthful about what you're complaining about. Unless you are, and then later you decide to embellish.
