'Live And Let Die' Blares As Trump Tours Arizona Mask Factory Without Wearing A Face Mask
Source: Newsweek
The Guns N' Roses song "Live and Let Die" was heard blasting at a Honeywell mask factory in Phoenix while President Donald Trump toured the facility where face masks are being produced as part of the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Workers at the factory were seen wearing masks and there was reportedly a visible sign at the facility indicating: "Attention: Face Mask Required in this Area. Thank You!," Reuters reports. In a video, Trump is seen wearing safety goggles while being led on a tour of the factory, during which "Live and Let Die" can be heard blaring from the public address system.
The chief executive officer of Honeywell, Darius Adamczyk, as well as White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and other visiting officials were also reported to have not worn masks during the visit. A White House official claimed Honeywell had told the White House that Trump and other visitors did not need to wear masks, CNBC reports.
Earlier on Tuesday, when asked by reporters whether Trump would wear a mask during the factory visit if required to do so, he said: "I think it's a masked facility. If it's a masked facility, I will. I don't know if it's a masked facility. If it's a mask environment, I would certainly do that. I'll know when I get there.

(6,822 posts)Paul McCartney and Wings wrote and first performed it. Which makes the use of it by the rough beast even more onerous.
Next thing you know, the lyrics to 'Imagine' will perversely adorn one of his fetish rallies.
How could a discreditable candidate NOT succeed as this doltish clot of news writers front for the fourth estate?
I wish Paul would raise a fuss. (We're still on a first name basis, of course, since I had a poster of him at just the right level so I could come home from school and kiss him in 5th grade. )

I think he's confused about what it means.

Might have been a small act of resistance.

(1,602 posts)Trump knows that it's too early to open, but he also knows that if he (or Pence) show up with a mask, then it undercuts his whole message that the virus is a hoax and that the economy needs to open (and that the shutdown is one vast liberal conspiracy). He also believes that he is immune, and that so long as he is seen NOT wearing a mask, he'll seem almost godlike to his followers.
One thing to watch for - his rallies are not going to be in hot spots. I think the West Coast variant is probably close to playing out, if the numbers I'm seeing are any indication, simply because of lack of population density, but I don't think his choice of Arizona was at all accidental.

(14,118 posts)of HIS song "Live Or Let Die" I decided to see if I was right that Paul owns the copyright. Bingo! Paul
does have control. see links*:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_and_Let_Die_(song)
(this article covers the Paul McCartney song and the Guns 'n Roses cover) There's this from the article: "Originally, (movie) producer Harry Saltzman was interested in having Shirley Bassey or Thelma Houston perform it instead of Wings.[1] (song producer George) Martin said McCartney would allow the song to be used in the movie only if Wings was able to perform the song in the opening credits." So Paul was in control as the owner of copyright.
see also link to Paul recovering control of the Beatles' catalog copyright...how cool is that?
This article also has info about Paul's elevation from Knighthood to Companion Of Honor, for anyone interested.

(4,305 posts)You wouldn't have to do much to the footage. It would involve a short film clip ending in a still photo clip of Trump in those goggles with no mask and appropriate statistics. I bet somebody is already working on it.
