McDonald's Employees Shot After Telling Customer Dining Room Was Closed

Source: CBS News

Four McDonald's employees in Oklahoma City were injured Wednesday night after telling a customer to leave the dining area, which was closed due to coronavirus restrictions. Authorities said the angry customer shot one of the workers, also injuring three others.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, suspect Gloria Woody entered the McDonald's and was told by employees to leave because the dining area was closed. Woody, 32, refused to leave, but was forced out by employees following a "physical altercation" that left one worker with a head injury.

Woody reentered the fast-food establishment with a handgun, police said Thursday morning. She fired approximately three rounds. Three additional employees were injured in the shooting -- one was shot in the arm, another was hit with shrapnel in the neck and shoulder and a third was hit with shrapnel in the side. Two of the victims were 16 years old and two were 18, police told CBS News.

Initial reports indicated there were two customers involved in the shooting, but police clarified Thursday that Woody currently is the sole suspect. According to police, the four employees sustained non-life threatening injuries. Three of them were taken to a local hospital to be monitored. Police found Woody a few blocks away from the McDonald's and immediately took her into custody...

...A similar incident occurred last week in Flint, Michigan when a security guard at a Family Dollar store was fatally shot. Three people were charged in the death of Calvin Munerlyn, 43, who refused to allow a customer's daughter in the store without a face mask, which is mandatory statewide.

CNN- ...The incident is one of a number reported across the country that authorities said were related to restrictions put in place to combat the spread of the virus. In Michigan, a Family Dollar store security guard was shot after telling a customer to wear a face mask -- a mandate in place by the state for all retail stores.

Also in Michigan, a man wiped his nose on a Dollar Tree worker's shirt after the employee told him he needed to wear a mask.

In Southern California, a customer wore what appeared to be a Ku Klux Klan hood during a trip to the grocery store -- and repeatedly ignored staff requests to remove it.

I assumed Oklahoma was red as blood based on the news that I read coming out of that place. Of course I also think of Oklahoma is one big Tiger King sanctuary. I’m pretty ignorant on any state that doesn’t touch the Pacific Ocean.

6 Republican city council members, 2 Democrats, and 1 Independent last I checked.

AND 1 Democrat in Congress (5th District) in 44 years. Not really "blue as blue can be". Oklahoma City is one of the most conservative cities in the United States.

USA is already regarded as THE Superpower - some with worries about that,

especially with their remote military adventures in the ME, China Sea and so on . . .

Their handling of the Iraq Invasion thing, Russia's annexation of Crimea. etc,

Their accumulation of over a dozen base around Iran . . .

Their handling of the Corona virus thingy . . .

Their internal violence . . .

Get it?

You are losing the World's respect - ya better get a POTUS that can restore it.

Take away Wall Street, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, the military industrial complex, and the fossil fuel industry. What's left is a third-world country.

Big companies form the nation's foreign policies, not the Government, nor it's voters.

If ya don't have the financial backing of Big $$$,

Ya won't get elected.

Also, I spent a week in Puerto Rico, which has a few third-world characteristics.

Other third-world countries I've been to: Mexico, Ecuador.

Something tells me she now realizes prison won't be as accomodating as a closed McDonald's dining area.

Remove the seats. Chain them to the top of the table. Do something.

I don't think teenage children should have dealing with dangerously unhinged people in their job description for minimum wage.
