Trump goes on wild tweetstorm to distract from Fauci testimony
Source: CNN
Hours before his top medical adviser is expected to contradict his assurances that it's safe to reopen America, President Donald Trump is on a Twitter tear amplifying conspiracy theories and covering up for his own racially-tinged rhetoric to distract from his failures during the pandemic. Trump is making unfounded charges against his predecessor Barack Obama and wading into the row over his treatment of an Asian American journalist ahead of an appearance before a Senate committee by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top infectious disease specialist, and oral arguments before the Supreme Court about Trump's attempt to keep his financial information and tax returns from Congress and New York prosecutors. In a preview of his likely testimony, Fauci told The New York Times in an email on Monday night: "If we skip over the checkpoints in the guidelines to: 'Open America Again,' then we risk the danger of multiple outbreaks throughout the country." "This will not only result in needless suffering and death, but would actually set us back on our quest to return to normal," Fauci continued. The "haters" have turned on 45 simply because he's the incumbent. He's never going to evade prison at this rate. He's gotta be going nuts knowing he's got no escape.

17. That definition of "haters" is quite unusual; it means "those who think politicians are worthless"
It does not mean "those with a significant hatred of certain groups of humans", which I think is what most of us would take it to mean.

All of the stonewalling on his taxes, credible sexual assaults, and a myriad of other investigations are all coming to a head in the next few months.

22. I don't think Trump fears prison.
Nor do I think he will ever go to prison. If he loses the election, he will simply resign a couple of days before January 20 and have President Pence pardon him for ll federal crimes. Unless New York State decides to prosecute him for tax fraud, the payoffs to his sex partners before the election are likely to result in fines rather than prison time. Unfortunate, because no one deserves prison more than Donald Trump—along with at least three of his children.

5. They're crackpots too.
We just didn't realize how widespread the crackpotism is.
That's what I think every time I see one of the polls that Biden wins 50-42 or similar. It's always presented as good news, because of course, Biden is ahead. But when I look at it I think WTF is wrong with people that it's not 95-5 ?????? How the hell can it be close enough to steal when republicons are behaving criminally and abhorrently right out in the open? It is a cult, and they are feeble-minded weaklings at their core. |

rockers, but many also came around to reasonable thinking. This love affair with tRump is shocking in how they cling to such a con artist and a damn fool, as well, despite clear evidence to the contrary of what he says/mumbles/shouts.

24. Americans have been prey to con artists for centuries.
It's a weird strain in the American character, that's for sure. We were talking about the Second Great Awakening not too long ago (which is not really taught in our history classes), and that's a perfect example of charlatans and crackpot religions and a desperate need by some percent of the American population to follow in the wake of some charismatic. I would love a deep dive into the reasons for this.

I have to assume you are independently wealthy and are hoping to watch everyone else slip into poverty, losing their homes/cars/jobs just so they stop supporting Trump.
That is exactly the talking point that the Right is using against the Left - I never thought anyone actually believed (or would say out loud) that that was worth wishing for. Nice. |

32. The things you mentioned are true
But shortly after being corruptly "re-appointed" and keeping the RepubliCON senate majority, they will be full steam ahead on trashing Medicare, Medicaid, and most of all Social Security. THAT is when his Trumphumpers will finally see what a Frankenstein they created. They won't criticize Trump of course, they will blame it on that F***ing Obama.
Carville said it best the night of the election. He was pictured on TV with several Republican Talking Heads and Carville was laughing. They questioned why he should be laughing, the Dem's lost !!!!!!???? He said: "Because the RepubliCON voters are gonna learn their voting has consequences" U.S. Citizens are about to learn what it feels like to live in China, North Korea, Russia, mid eastern countries, and all the other third world countries around the world.....(or shitholes as Trump describes them!) I get a chuckle about one thing.......Do these RepubliCONs actually think that Putin will leave them holding ANY position of power once the COUP is finished, and they have all done his biding....??????????? |

It’s very disorienting for those of us who lived through Watergate to realize the following: if you compare Group 1: Nixon/Mitchell/Haldeman and Group 2: Trump/Barr/Kushner, that the first group is undeniably better for America.
