President Donald Trump has just announced he is pulling the United States out of the World Health Organization in the middle of a global pandemic. To support his move Trump claimed China controls the WHO.

28. If our relationship with the W.H.O. is by treaty or law how does he make this happen?

He's threatened to do many things like this in the past only to find out there's no legal basis for him to do it. Either because the organization funding is controlled by Congress or because he can't by himself terminate the relationship. He can tell ambassadors what to say, recall them, and set policy goals. But I don't quite see how he does this one.

Yes, I know dumbfbrain usually barks before he knows what he's saying, and the big bully cry-baby likes to strut his anger. This one makes no sense at all from what I can see. The news only shows him pontificating on how he'll hurt China with no details and no followup about how the W.H.O. withdrawal actually occurs. I know he ducked out without questions but the treaty involving the USA in W.H.O. must have some details about how it is administered and what methods exist for termination.

Anyone else have an explanation?
