NYPD Union Doxes Mayor's Daughter on Twitter

Source: Gizmodo

A New York City Police Department (NYPD) union known for its controversial attacks against Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted out the personally identifying information of his daughter on Sunday night, including a residential address and her New York State ID number.

The tweet by the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA), which in February claimed that members of the NYPD were “declaring war” against De Blasio, attacked the mayor’s daughter, Chiara de Blasio, for being arrested during an “unlawful assembly” on Saturday night.

Multiple news outlets reported that NYPD arrested De Blasio, the younger, during the fifth night of nationwide protests over the police-killing of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man whose alleged murder at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers sparked protests and violent clashes with authorities in dozens of major cities.

The SBA, run by union boss Ed Mullins, Mayor De Blasio’s fiercest critic, included a photo of a computer screen which appeared to be his 25-year-old daughter’s arrest report. The report included her date of birth, New York state ID number, and various biographical details, such as height, weight, and citizenship status. It also included an apartment number and home address, which appeared to be Gracie Mansion, the mayor’s residence (though the zip code did not match.)

He is a weak and shrinking man who either doesn't realize that he actually commands the miscreants in the NYPD, or is too much of a coward to do so. He is term limited for God's sake, and they already turn their backs on him at funerals. He needs to read the riot act against the police department and start making serious budget moves. They might understand defunding.

could you fill me in on what the impact of the term limitation is for him?

Is it that they turn your backs on him because they feel they are not supported?

Sorry I’m on the other side of and ocean and continent and wasn’t aware of what goes on there really at all

New York City has a term limit on Mayors. They can only serve two four-year terms. He is currently two and a half+ years into his second four year term, so he's done as Mayor after next year's election (well, January 2022). In other words, he can take required action without worrying about reelection.

As for the NYPD turning their backs, the NYPD has really turned into a pack of spoiled and entitled brats. They refuse to take any direction from anyone, and should really have a some sort of Federal decree to get them back into a reasonable police force in a free and democratic country. They operate like an unchecked right wing militia. So, when on the few occasions DiBlasio made even mild statements about police reforms, they would all throw absolute temper tantrums and turn their backs on him, even at police funerals. Point being, he has zero to lose by initiating actual police reforms. The only reason he's not doing so is because he's apparently the weakest coward in the entire city of New York.

They are still living off the legacy of 9/11 as "heroes" who can't be questioned.

I’m getting rather tired of the argument that a few bad apples ruins the whole barrel.

It seems like there are a LOT more than a few bad apples across the whole country.

Police reform is long over due.

I had an encounter with a New York State Police officer which was very unpleasant. Let’s just say, he was NOT suffering from testosterone insufficiency. Roid rage is a real thing.

One is one too many. Some cops do not have the temperament to be cops and should not be allowed to have a badge, or a gun for that matter.

Have been for quite some time. And I’m a white female aged 66 living in a rural area.

Our HPD to get something like usefulness out of the system again.

Hey thanks for taking the time to explain. I appreciate it. S

Over here, our cops...well dm me if you would like to hear about it. It’s crazy. They used to run the brothels during WWII. Not undercover kine, like out in public, everyone knew. Maybe it made sense, idk.

Aloha.
